Re-opening of registries and accounts offices (Archive of information disseminated from 4 May 2020 to 19 July 2020)

The registries and accounts offices of all courts and tribunals have already returned to normal operation from 27 May 2020, with opening hours from 8:45am to 1:00pm and 2:00pm to 5:30pm.

Starting from 22 June 2020, for distraint cases at the District Court, applicants with five or more applications shall apply for an appointment from the District Court Registry by way of this Form for lodging of the applications. For applicants with less than five applications, they can lodge the applications directly to the District Court Registry.

Lodging documents by electronic means

As from 1 April 2020, in addition to the one-way “no-reply” email accounts, an additional electronic means for lodging documents with the court, called the “e-Lodgement Platform”, was made available for parties and legal representatives to lodge with the High Court, District Court and Family Court their submissions, authorities, hearing bundles and other documents as directed by the court. The Platform had been further extended to the Lands Tribunal starting from 15 April 2020. Case parties may refer to this link for a video demonstration to have a better idea of how to use the Platform.
