Judicial Training

Deputy High Court Judge POON was appointed in 2017 to take responsibility for strategic plans and implementation of judicial training programmes. The Judiciary further appointed three directors and three counsel to the Executive Body ("EB") of the Hong Kong Judicial Institute ("JI") in the latter part of 2018. With this increase in personnel, the JI has embarked on its next phase of development. The EB has been identifying specific training needs for each court level, personalising training for magistrates, promoting the concept of judicial wellness, as well as providing solid research support to Judges and Judicial Officers.
