Interest on Judgments and Interest Rates
Interest on Judgments
Judgment debts shall carry simple interest from date of judgment until satisfaction :
- 1) at such rate as the Court may order; or
- 2) in the absence of such order, at such rate as may be determined from time to time by the Chief Justice by order.
(Please refer to Section 49(1) of the High Court Ordinance, Cap. 4 or Section 50(1) of the District Court Ordinance, Cap. 336 of the Laws of Hong Kong for details.)
