Ceremonial Opening of the Legal Year 2026

The ceremony to mark the opening of the Legal Year 2026 took place at the Hong Kong City Hall on 19 January 2026.

The Chief Justice of the Court of Final Appeal, the Secretary for Justice, the Chairman of the Hong Kong Bar Association and the President of the Law Society of Hong Kong have delivered addresses during the ceremony.
